Overview of Member States’ EPR Schemes

This mapping provides an overview of EPR schemes for packaging in the European Union. Although non-exhaustive, it aims to describe, as accurately as possible, the EPR schemes in place across the 27 EU Member States, how they function, the key actors that compose them, and their level of transparency.

The content of this document was prepared based on intelligence-gathering, available literature and desk research, despite, in many cases, limited (and fast-changing) public information available. Therefore, it might occur that some of the information is outdated or in need of further precisions.
