EUROPEN joins industry call for a more digitalised EU Single Market
EUROPEN has joined organisations from across European industry in calling for a more ambitious and coherent approach to the digital delivery of regulatory product information.
The industry statement highlights three key benefits of digitalisation:

Digital information can enable a single EU-wide packaging solution, while allowing consumers to access localised information in their preferred language. Digital formats can also improve accessibility through features such as text-to-speech, zoom and adjustable font sizes.
- Digitalisation reduces environmental impact and supports circularity
Digital information can remain available throughout a product’s lifecycle.
- Digitalisation lowers administrative burden and improves regulatory compliance
Digital information can be updated quickly and consistently across markets, reducing the need for country-specific packaging and documentation and helping businesses respond more efficiently to regulatory changes.
As the EU moves forward with the revision of the New Legislative Framework and the European Product Act, we support a clear legal basis for the digital delivery of regulatory information across product legislation, while retaining physical information where it remains necessary.
